About the Role and Responsibilities
Software Dev Engineer
Location: Bangalore
About the Role :
Contribute to the development of features and enhancements for the future releases of McAfee Web Gateway and Web Hybrid initiatives. This requires analysis of the feature, design and development activities. Should analyze the customer issues and provide workaround/fix when needed. Support sustenance releases of MWG with bug fixing and analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Agile process for iteration based development.
- Should be able to analyze feature requirements and assist with design documentation.
- Should be able to analyze customer issues and provide resolution/workaround.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
Mandatory :
-
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Engineering/ Computer Applications
-
Knowledge of Linux, Windows and Solaris operating system
-
1-3 years of professional work experience preferably in networking domain
-
Good experience in object-oriented programming, working experience with Java and J2EE
-
Professional experience with J2EE technologies such as Swings, spring, Hibernate, EJB, Servlets and XML is highly desired
-
Experience with at least one J2EE Application Server (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic, etc.)
-
Working experience in building and integrating RESTful /SOAP Web Services using frameworks like jersey
-
Working knowledge in HTML5, CSS, Ajax and jQuery
Good To Have :
-
C++ work experience is highly desired.
-
Familiarity with Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, or FTP).
-
Experience with at least one development IDE (Eclipse, NetBeans, etc.).

Experience with at least one version control system (CVS, Subversion, etc.)
-
Security conscious with a good understanding of security concepts
-
Project experience in developing complex applications.

Should have excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills.

Good verbal and written communication in English
